Morphon XML-Editor 2.1

Released today, version 2.1 of this Java-based XML editing software (compatible with Mac OS 8 and 9) adds bug fixes and feature improvements for XSLT and CSS support as well as in various other areas.

ADC on AppleScript & Perl for Web Services

An Apple Developer Connection article on Web Services explains how to have AppleScript "act as a SOAP web client and use Perl to create the service" by "passing structured data between Perl and AppleScript." An example discusses how the author used the XML::RSS Perl module as part of one such project.

BASh component 1.8.0 for 4D

Among the "many different modules of methods which provide extensive utility services in 4th Dimension" via version 1.8.0 of Deep Sky Technologies' BASh component for 4D is a new module for parsing and retrieving XML-tagged data.

Atomik Roundtrip 1.0

ik Roundtrip enables users to "import XML into QuarkXPress and faithfully re-export it." According to its developer, "Users can update the QuarkXPress document automatically if the source XML document changes" and "update the source XML document if the QuarkXPress document changes"; and because "the XML document(s) are embedded within the QuarkXPress document, Atomik Roundtrip can even export XML from QuarkXPress without referencing the source XML document(s)."
